From the composer: Flutters of the Heart is dedicated to my niece Amaya Pullen-Eberhardt. The piece explores the beginnings of falling in love. Your heart races while time slows down and in that moment, it becomes hard to breath. The running eighth notes in the piano signifies your heart rate which is steady, but skips a beat every other measure. As you gain composure, the time signature settles but love does not give up easy and you lose your breath once more.
